Introdução
This study explores how Nubank integrates ESG principles into its corporate strategy by analyzing institutional data, sustainability reports, and international references from 2021 to 2023, with emphasis on governance and technological practices.
Problema de Pesquisa e Objetivo
The study investigates how FinTechs, with a focus on Nubank, influence ESG performance in emerging markets. The main objective is to understand the impact of digital technologies and governance practices on sustainability outcomes.
Fundamentação Teórica
The research is grounded in literature on corporate sustainability, responsible governance, and financial innovation. Key frameworks include the TCFD, SDGs, and ESG disclosure standards
Discussão
Findings suggest that while Nubank aligns with global ESG trends, challenges remain in governance transparency and Scope 3 emission reporting. Progress in financial inclusion and gender equity is evident, but structural gaps persist.
Conclusão
The study concludes that Nubank has advanced ESG practices, particularly in financial inclusion and gender equity. However, gaps persist in transparency, external assurance, and effective governance communication. While aligned with global FinTech trends, Nubank must strengthen its ESG reporting frameworks to ensure long-term credibility and impact in emerging contexts.
