Reumo

Some organizations stand out from others, even inserted in similar backgrounds. The productive dynamic capability emerged from the general theory of dynamic capabilities. Its purpose is seeking knowledge of the internal skills linked to production. The authors D'Avila & Silveira-Martins (2017) created and validated a research tool on productive dynamic capability. It opens a gap in the literature for the propagation of studies that approach the field. The agro-industry segment deals with difficulties and uncertainties that impact on its survival and performance.
In this research, our aim was to correlate the constructs of productive dynamic capability and performance mediated by environmental uncertainty in micro and small-sized agroindustry of the Brazilian states such as Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Paraná.
Dynamic capabilities enable organizations to achieve superior results (Wang & Ahmed, 2007; Wang, Senaratne & Rafiq, 2015). The productive dynamic capability is defined as the set of all internal capabilities of organization linked to the productive system since its beginning to the end, and the management of its forces is brief in response to environmental uncertainty (D'Avila & Silveira-Martins, 2017). The environment organizational perception is influenced by the uncertainty of the environmental context, which may affect the company (Boyd & Fulk, 1996; Gardelin, Rossetto & Verdinelli, 2013).
It is characterized as quantitative research, using the survey technique and non-probabilistic sample for convenience. The sample is composed by 138 micro-sized and small-sized agroindustries in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Paraná. The data collection instrument is composed by adaptation by D'Avila & Silveira-Martins (2017), Carvalho & Rossetto (2014), Gupta & Govidarajan (1984). A pre-test was performed before the questionnaire was applied. Reliability tests were performed, for the data analysis, factorial analysis and modeling of structural equations.
From the analysis performed with the modeling of structural equations. It was possible to confirm H1, there is a positive and significant correlation (0,375) between the productive dynamic capability and the agroindustries surveyed performance. Where H2a is confirmed, the environmental complexity mediates the relation between productive dynamic capability and performance (0,000), the mediation is considered significant. And H2b, the environmental dynamism mediates the relation between productive dynamic capability and performance (0,000), where it was found significant in mediation.
The results found possible to verify that the greater manager investment in the productive dynamic capability will support a reliable organizational performance. Although however, managers need to be aware of the changes that occur in the environment in which their organizations are inserted. It can be emphasized that one of the ways that agroindustries have to overcome the complexity and the environmental dynamism is to develop its productive dynamic capability. Some conclusions are suggested about the variables that were excluded and those that followed after the factorial analysis.
