Resumo
Introdução
Contemporary SCM faces disruptive events (pandemics, wars), exposing fragilities. Digitalization emerges as a crucial response for resilience, visibility, and real-time decisions. This study analyzes digitalization's use in mitigating risks in the Brazilian automotive supply chain, focusing on practices, challenges, and opportunities within this specific context.
Problema de Pesquisa e Objetivo
Given global complexity and uncertainty, traditional supply chains exhibit inherent fragility, exacerbated by disruptive events. The objective is to analyze digitalization as a risk mitigator in the Brazilian automotive supply chain, highlighting its practices, challenges, and opportunities for enhancing resilience.
Fundamentação Teórica
The theoretical foundation relies on three interrelated axes: Supply Chain Management, Digitalization, and Risk Management. It discusses the evolution from logistics to SCM, the impact of digital technologies (Blockchain, IoT, AI) on chain optimization, and risk management focused on visibility, trust, and resilience.
Metodologia
Qualitative, exploratory research using a case study in the Brazilian automotive sector. Data collection employed multiple sources: institutional documents, sectoral reports, and semi-structured interviews with managers. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis, identifying relevant categories and patterns.
Análise dos Resultados
Results show 15 out of 19 interviewees have +15 years of experience. Risks include global supplier dependence and input shortages. Digitalization (IoT, Big Data, ERP, AI) is key for risk mitigation, optimizing visibility and processes, but faces challenges like high costs, lack of skilled professionals, and cybersecurity.
Conclusão
Digitalization is fundamental for mitigating risks in the Brazilian automotive supply chain, enhancing visibility and response. Technologies like IoT, Big Data, ERPs, and AI optimize management. Challenges include costs, integration, talent scarcity, and cultural resistance. Despite this, it represents a strategic opportunity for greater sector resilience and competitiveness.
