Introdução
Sustainability reports are important documents that reinforce transparency, aid in comparing results, and improve organizational efficiency, allowing stakeholders to understand the environmental, social, and economic impact of their activities. Companies that focus on sustainable development have recognized value generation and gain competitive advantages. The adoption of the circular economy contributes to improving the environmental and economic performance of production methods and has been gaining momentum over the years, accelerating a paradigm shift.
Contexto Investigado
The study analyzed the sustainability reports of one of the largest companies in the meat sector in Brazilian agribusiness between 2012 and 2022, focusing on the intersection between Stakeholder Theory and the circular economy.
Diagnóstico da Situação-Problema
The meat sector faces a challenge between stakeholder expectations (demanding truly sustainable, circular, and transparent practices) and the operational complexity of transforming all these commitments into consistent, auditable results. Analyzing sustainability reports allows companies to communicate their environmental practices, strengthening investor and customer trust.

The work contributes theoretically by advancing discussions on how strategic engagement with stakeholders can catalyze circular and sustainable practices, directly impacting the organizational performance of companies
Resultados Obtidos
The research on sustainability practices revealed several similarities with the reviewed literature, particularly regarding stakeholder theory and resource circularity. The company demonstrated a commitment to dialogue, which is essential for understanding the expectations and concerns of the community and investors, in addition to its emphasis on transparency and social responsibility. The study found that the transition to a circular economy in the context analyzed offers benefits by promoting greater resource efficiency and reducing operating costs.
