Reumo

One of society's biggest concerns is sustainability in a scenario where the world population has been growing at extremely high levels, and natural resources are increasingly dwindling. Exponential population growth directly impacts available natural resources, with increasing consumption year after year.
General Objective - Analyze the importance of innovation in the relationship between scarce resources and the growing consumption of the population. Specific Objectives - Research on growing consumption; research on natural resources; identify sustainable innovations; identify the public's perception of growing consumption; identify the public's perception of scarce resources; - identify the public's perception of innovation as a solution to the relationship between scarce resources and growing consumption.
This will be descriptive research of a quantitative, carried out through a survey. Questions will be submitted through an online form. The sample will be convenient due to the proximity to people from the social network of the authors involved in the project. The survey can be carried out with participants over 18 years of age regardless of social class and can be applied to several countries. The questions are directly related to the role of innovation related to scarce resources, increasing consumption, and the ESG issue.

As a result of this research, it is expected that the result will show that innovation is an active part of solving the scarcity of natural resources. In addition to the increasing awareness of people to opt for sustainable products and companies to develop innovative products and strategies that help transform society without harming the environment.

These two themes have a direct relationship, in which the exponential growth of the population directly impacts the available natural resources; with an increasing consumption year after year, a challenge is created in which we seek some mechanism to reconcile the relationship between finite natural resources. And the growing population leads to an ever-increasing need for consumption. For this, we must analyze the situation of each of the aspects. And thus seek way where the management of can be aligned resources with the consumption needs of the population. It is not always that this subject is made explicit in our daily lives, but it is evident when we analyze data on the natural resources available on our planet. It becomes a significant concern for our future. Both governments and companies are looking for ways to have more sustainable management of resources, eliminate waste, and always look for alternatives from sustainable/renewable sources for their activities. The awareness of the population is one of the main pillars, and it is essential for the success of environmental conservation policies, as it is from the consumption habits of our society that relevant changes can occur in a broader scenario. The challenges created by the exponential growth of the population are not easy to overcome/solve. Still, with solid technological advances, and more and more efforts directed toward these problems, the solution may be closer and closer. This study aims to analyze the development and trends of innovation in ESG and how innovation can contribute to managing scarce resources and increasing population consumption. The challenge is that we look for some mechanism to reconcile the relationship between natural resources and the growing population.
