Resumo

Commitment is a construct that has been discussed in several research areas, with greater intensity within the OB/HRM literature up to the market, religious, and community contexts, at lower levels. I intend to abstract the concept of commitment to multiple contexts according to their essential characteristics. This process goes through an intense review of the literature in multiple contexts [specific objective 1], validation and testing of new scales within the nomological network [specific objective 2], and monitoring over time [specific objective 3]. I intend to convert each specific objective into an article with a thesis in the format of three articles. Then, article 1 deals with a systematic review of the literature with the seminals of each context. The purpose of this review is to identify the intercontextual essential characteristics of the commitment. Article 2 aims to collect data in multiple contexts to test the nomological network and verify its breadth. Finally, article 3 is a longitudinal study based on commitment systems found in the two previous studies.
