Organization and governance in the agri-food sector: How can we capture their variety
Keynote Speaker: Claude Menard
This lecture emphasizes why the variety of organizational arrangements and their embeddedness into institutions matter so much. Differentiating organizational structures and their modalities of governance, it examines three non-standard arrangements: hybrids, cooperatives, plural forms. It also shows how neglecting this variety and their supportive institutions challenges existing competition policies.

Transforming Research into Practical Advice: An Analysis of a Leadership Program
Keynote Speaker: Cynthia Ingols
In 2002 the School of Management, Simmons College, Boston MA, began to offer its flagship executive education program, Strategic Leadership for Women. This week-long course is an open-enrollment program which allows 25 to 28 women to study leadership together. Using a variety of educational methodologies ranging from a live-action case to faculty-produced diagnostic tools, the faculty create an environment that encourages participates to reflect, see themselves and their environment differently, and leave the program with a plan for their leadership journey. Participants routinely give the program a 4.9 out of 5.0 satisfaction rating. Join Professor Cynthia Ingols to learn more about SLW and to hear the challenges that she and faculty colleagues face in 2016.
